The intervention at the Town Center Costa del Este Central Plaza was developed to address the issue of direct exposure to sun and rain in the restaurants' outdoor areas. DIAZ DIAZ designed and constructed a system of tensile structures and canopies that creates sheltered areas for patrons, allowing for better utilization of the establishments' outdoor spaces. The design aimed to integrate seamlessly with the shopping center's existing structure and façade, incorporating the new intervention into the plaza's architectural language without compromising the space's openness and dynamic feel.
