Copa Airlines continues to expand its operations, and as part of this growth, DIAZ DIAZ was chosen to develop the expansion of the cafeteria and locker room services at the airline’s Maintenance Center. This project not only meets the company’s operational needs but also focuses on enhancing employees' quality of life through a functional and inviting design.

An industrial design aligned with Copa Airlines’ identity

The expansion of the cafeteria and locker rooms at Copa Airlines' Maintenance Center draws inspiration from the technical and industrial aesthetics of aviation. Elements such as exposed metal structures, clean lines, and durable materials contribute to an authentic and functional space.

The façade and furniture were strategically selected to align with the industrial identity of the surroundings, while the interior was designed to provide warmth and comfort. DIAZ DIAZ successfully balanced functionality and an inviting atmosphere by using polished concrete floors, vibrant color accents, and wood finishes on the walls.

Additionally, the layout and integration of natural light were key to creating an environment that enhances the employee experience while maximizing the use of available space.

• Exposed infrastructure: Structural and technical systems were left visible, celebrating the space’s technical character while reducing maintenance costs.
